The team at www.historyofwrestling.info are back with the fourth in their series documenting every episode of WWF Monday Night Raw, year by year. We cover every angle, segment and match in detail, and offer plenty of thoughts and facts along the way.
The book is written and presented in the usual HOW style, with various awards, match lists and a host of star ratings for fans to debate at will. This time, we even have a super special bonus review from Stevie Aaron.
Learn about Brian Pillman pulling a gun on Steve Austin; Jim Ross turning heel on Vince McMahon and the WWF; the departures and "returns" of Razor Ramon and Diesel; Stars from the 80s stinking up the ring; Shawn Michaels achieving his "boyhood dream"; Goldust trying to get it on with everyone in the locker room; the Raw debuts of Mankind, The Rock, Vader, Faarooq, Marc Mero and The Goon!
Plus much, much more in an action packed, fun-filled 120 page, 90,000 word + tome. They get bigger every year and this is biggest yet.

This was a great read. I have read all the raw files. I hope 1997 comes out soon as this is when Raw was just turning the corner and starting to become must see tv. As always I appreciate the ponts of views by the authors. Wouldnt mind seeing a win/loss record at the end of the books or when a wrestler finally has his last match on raw. Awesome as always. I find myself unable to take a break once I start reading. Great reread ability on all of your products.Product details

The Raw Files 1996 eBook James Dixon Arnold Furious Lee Maughan Stevie Aaron Rick Ashley Bob Dahlstrom Reviews
Despite WCW winning the ratings war in 1996 the WWF (now WWE) were starting to plant their seeds of future dominance and Mr. Dixon covers this pivotal year that was a "Stone Cold" groove for all "Mankind"
love this series, guys make some average wrestling shows very funny. I lost touch with wrestling from 92 -00 so this is tres helpful. YNWA. AFC forever!
This was the best Raw Files book up to this point. I would give it 4.5 stars if I could. The analysis of each episode by Dixon and Furious is as funny and entertaining as usual, and fortunately there were some better episodes of Raw to write about (thanks to Austin and Foley showing up). The authors included transcriptions of a couple of the best promos from that year, including the classic "shoot" by Jim Ross. The authors also started including Look, Promo, Wrestling (LPW) scores for some of the performers this time around, which is an interesting addition to the series.
Downside As with the 1995 edition, the lovefest that the authors have for Jim Cornette continues but gets even worse. Sure, Cornette was entertaining, but Dixon makes the pages wet and sticky with every mention of him. I'm sure it has nothing at all to do with the fact that Cornette was his #1 source when writing the "Titan" books. Certainly not....
Great, fun read overall if you sat through mid-90's WWF and want to laugh at it again.
I guess shame on me for getting it, but this was not as fun to read as I was hoping. I hoped that being able to read about my favorite year of WWF would be good, but these summaries of Raw are dreaful and boring. Which I guess I should have seen coming,.
great!
This was a very informative and insightful walk down memory lane. For someone who grew up with "The New Generation" it brought me back. The authors were very funny and shared a lot of the same praise and disdain that I did for certain wrestlers. Definite pick up. Can not wait for 1997.
The Raw Files 1996 is a quick read. It gives an analysis of every RAW show throughout 1996. This book was of great interest to me because 1996 was the year I first watched the WWF. It was fun to go back and remember some of the great moments from wrestling's past. The authors did a great job of turning a play-by-play account of each show into something humorous and entertaining. This book was well worth the price. I hope they release The Raw Files 1997!
